Tip #41
Ask.
Most people [and you just might consider
yourself as most people] aren't malicious about not doing their job at
work. So, when subordinates don't do what they're supposed to do, ASK. Ask
them WHY they did what they did. DO NOT assume they didn't do what they were
supposed to do ON PURPOSE. Note that the number 1 reason why people don't do
what they're supposed to do at work is: because they don't know they're
supposed to do it! Have YOU ever gotten 'yelled at' by your boss for not
doing something you didn't know you were supposed to do? How did you feel
afterwards? Could you have done it if you would have known? Could you boss
have handled the situation differently? If you're the boss, now, you, too,
can handle the situation differently. Be sure to ASK...first!
