Quit whining! Every leader has that same
problem!
There are two challenges every leader faces. (1) You can’t make
people do their jobs and (2) you can’t make people care about doing their
jobs. We discuss the implications of these universal challenges and identify
actions to help overcome them. |
 |
What’s wrong with these people?
Do you often
wonder why your people don’t do their
jobs? In this session we identify reasons people don’t do what they’re
supposed to do at work. We follow up with suggestions leaders can take to
ensure their people successfully complete their jobs. |
 |
Understanding the success
chain.
Examining the leader’s
role in workplace achievement.
Today’s leaders must be equipped to handle
a myriad of workplace challenges. Certainly no single action is (or ever
will be) a universal remedy for improving worker’s performance. Here we
discuss the workplace leader’s roles--including a leader’s greatest
responsibility. |
 |
Identifying a better way! Encouraging
creativity to provide solutions.
Performance improvement often requires
identifying and implementing creative solutions. What is creativity? How can
you get it? How can you help your people get it? What to do when you think
you’ve got it! Plus--the leader’s greatest challenge to creativity. |
 |
You don’t say!
This fully interactive session
allows participants to identify and practice active listening skills and to
practice delivering information both informatively & concisely. Great for
teambuilding and discovery. |
 |
Not addressing non-performance; much bigger
than a failure to communicate.
What really happens when leaders fail to
address the non-performance of their people? Here we identify the
ramifications of leaders who are permissive--leaders who do not correct
poorly performing subordinates. |
 |
We like things to be done with ‘it.’ We hate
people who have ‘one.’
In this session we explore the challenge of leading
workers with attitudes. What is an attitude? How can leaders
tell what workers’ attitudes are? Ultimately, what can a leader do to
improve the performance of people he or she believes need attitude
adjustments? |
 |
Do you know me?
This session allows
participants to learn things about their co-workers they didn’t previously
know. Each participant secretly discloses a fact from their past. This is a
perfect session for teambuilding & team discovery. It is highly interactive
and a fun way to spend lunchtime! It can improve workplace relationships. |
